Canada Health Infoway

Canada Health Infoway works with governments, health care organizations, clinicians and patients to make health care more digital in order to facilitate faster, more seamless and secure information sharing.They also set out digital health guidelines to ensure continuity of regulation across Canada.

Healthcare Excellence Canada

HEC focuses on patient safety, while setting out toolkits and resources to guide the optimal patient experience while maintaining patient safety to promote superior care across Canada.

Think Upstream

Think Upstream is a project on the social determinants of health in Canada. Originally founded by Dr. Ryan Meili, and now overseen by the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives. The project shares news and information on health care reform, public health, achieving health equity in Canada, and building an inclusive economy.

Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives

"The Canadian Centre of Policy Alternatives [CCPA] is an independent, non-partisan research institute concerned with issues of social, economic and environmental justice." With offices across Canada, this organization has projects researching and addressing justice at the federal, provincial, and regional levels. There is a section of their website with a comprehensive collection of infographics, reports, and studies that have been conducted by or in conjunction with the CCPA with the goal of making their research and ideas available to all.

Canadian Journal of Rural Medicine

This is a quarterly peer-reviewed print on the unique practices of rural physicians in Canada. It is a free open text journal, and highlights health conditions that are generally more prevalent in rural Canada, such as chronic disease, autoimmune disease, accident, and those caused by  impaired access to care.

MakeWay

Formerly called TIDES Canada, this organization stands for environmental and social justice. This group researches and facilitates programs that encourage Indigenous sovereignty, equitable access to health care, and encouraging our ecosystems to flourish alongside economic prosperity. There is a publication section, and an impact section, as well as a list of active partnerships they engage in.

National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation

This group is continuing and extending the work of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. This website holds an archive of documents and technical reports that relate to the treatment of Indigenous Peoples in Canada through the residential school system, and the resulting intergenerational impact on indigenous families.

Reconciliation Canada

Like the NCTR, Reconciliation Canada encourages dialogue to revitalize the relationship between Indigenous peoples of Canada, and all Canadians, through community engagement to end the spread of misinformation of Indigenous peoples and encourage everyone to play their part in the journey towards reconciliation.
